NQCA accreditation denotes ACO excellence

Following last week’s news of 60 accountable care organizations forming the National Associations of ACOs (NAACOS) comes the announcement that six ACOs have achieved accreditation through the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NQCA). The designation is optional but is an indication of the facilities’ high quality and efficiency.

Also in the headlines this week, the American College of Physician Executives (ACPE) is taking steps to address disruptive behavior, while hospitals in Nevada may soon have the right to refuse employment to healthcare workers who smoke or drink.
