Treats for days at Moffitt Cancer Center
This year, Moffitt Cancer Center has been celebrating National Medical Staff Services Awareness Week with one (or more) pun-tastic presents per day.
“The coordinators have been very grateful,” says Dana Wakefield, CPMSM, CPCS, manager of medical staff services at the Tampa, Florida, facility. Wakefield, who orchestrated the festivities for her team of three coordinators and a management assistant, says this year’s event holds extra significance. “It’s Moffitt’s 30th anniversary this week, so we have double the reasons to celebrate.”
Here’s Moffitt’s schedule of celebratory tokens:
Monday: Popcorn pack (bursting with appreciation)
Tuesday: Pen gift set (thanks for all you do)
Wednesday: Mini mason jar with chocolates (thanks for all you do) and a department pizza party with the director of medical staff services and the staff of the faculty affairs department
Thursday: Mint candies (thanks for your Commit-MINT)
Friday: Wonderful Outstanding Worker (WOW) snack pack and an out-of-office lunch, where staff receive a teamwork journal and gift card
